Step 7 to Launching Your Online Course-Creating Your Course

Now we're going to be on onto week 7 and it is creating our online course. The first thing we want to do here is agree and decide on the modality. Do we want it to be audio like a podcast for people to listen to? Do we want it to be a video for people to watch. Maybe we want something for people to read or read on a screen like a PowerPoint presentation or an e-book or a book, or maybe it's a combination of all of those. So the first thing is to agree on and decide on the modality of what it is you're going to create.
Then you've got to create a framework. So the framework here, in my case is, there are four modules, three lessons per module, so twelve lessons in total. That's the framework that is both strategic and tactical. And also, it's got to be a journey of transformation. This transformation here takes people from where they are and where they can clearly see the steps that they're going to go through, and the transformation it's going to achieve. So, for example, if you were teaching piano and you were giving piano lessons and you were putting together a course, it's really important that you teach from the basis of not only will somebody be benefiting from your program, of course, but they actually clearly can see what it is they're going to learn at the end of the 12 weeks. So it might be you can play 12 songs by John Lennon. In my case, the 12 steps are clearly going to transition you online. So after 12 steps, 12 weeks of my coaching program on my online course, you will be online if you follow the steps. That's what my coaching program provides. People will be online, and they will be doing that after 12 weeks.
